Ashley Rhianne is an award-winning Oriental dance artist based in Vancouver Canada drawing on over 15 years of experience as a professional dancer and instructor. She is a highly sought-after performer, known for her expressive and personable performances, elegance, and natural joie de vivre.  She was drawn to this dance form first because of  the music and then because of the powerful femininity, grace and strength of Oriental dance.

Training

Ashley Rhianne took her first Middle Eastern dance class in 1995  after years of studying ballet and jazz as a child and teen.  Ashley Rhianne has continued to further her dance training by studying with many of the world’s finest Middle Eastern dancers and teachers such as: Mohamed Shahin (Egypt / USA), Tito Seif (Egypt), Mahmoud Reda (Egypt), Jillina (USA), Dr. Gamal Seif (Egypt / Germany), Ranya Renee (USA), and Tamalyn Dallal (USA). Ashley is currently studying under Egyptian superstar Randa Kamel’s tutelage.

Performance

To date, Ashley Rhianne has performed throughout Canada, the USA, Trinidad, Egypt, Ecuador, Ukraine and in the UK.

In 2004, Ashley Rhianne and Yasmina (Vancouver, BC) were featured headliners in the “Young Stars: Sunidhi Chauhan and KK” Bollywood concert in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad with Universal Concerts. Ashley Rhianne has performed live with award winning Arabic composer and electric oud player Jef Stott, and with world music DJs and composers Cheb I Sabah and DrumSpyder.

 Ashley Rhianne currently holds 2nd place in the Randa Kamel Crown Competition in Dallas (2014), Fourth Place in the Randa Kamel Crown Competition in Cairo Egypt (2016) and Third Place in the NYCairo Queen Competition (2016 & 2017).
